Interview: “10 minutes at First”

Written by:

Me: What would you say to someone who’s in a situation like this?

Dominic: What I would tell someone in this situation is, um, I read a book one time. And when things seem—when you have like big goals and things are like really really stressful, or they sometimes give you anxiety thinking about the big picture—you’ve got to break it up into daily tasks that you can do.

For example, the habits you make. Maybe you want to read ten books a year. Uh, you’ve got to read ten pages at first, you know what I mean? Or ten minutes at first. And then, eventually, you know, you’ll graduate to an hour a night or 30 minutes a night, and so on and so forth.

So I would say, whatever goal that you have, that’s maybe far out in the future, you break down to like small daily goals, yeah. That’s my little bit of advice.
